Edward was called as a barrister in England at the Inner Temple in 1965. He returned to Nigeria over 30 years ago and worked with Messrs Bola Sadipe & Company up until 1975 when he set up practice as a Legal Practitioner.

He was the chairman of the Lagos branch Nigerian Bar Association from 1987 to 1991. He served on various committees of the Council of Legal Education from 1988 to 1990. In 2003, he was invited to join the body of Benchers.

He has extensive knowledge in general commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
